Jolie Budau, L.E., R.D.A. - Aesthetician with a Hollywood Touch

Technique and Design Skills Developed under Anastasia Soire, of the famed Beverly Hills Salon. My flair for the universe of beauty began at the very young age of 5 years old. As a child I really was a mad scientist, loving medicine and beauty all at the same time. In one hand I carried my play doctor box, and in the other hand my concoctions of creams. I found joy diving under my Mom's sink and removing every beauty product I could to mix them in the sink. My Mom has always been my best client allowing me to do any and all experimentation on her while still smiling through the experiences. From then on, as a teen, I started my own business among my girlfriends doing all their hair, makeup and nails before our school dances. I always had my nose in a fashion magazine studying the ways to make wrinkles go away, and learning which products to use to optimize skin care. Yes, in the 7th grade I was using eye cream, and thankfully so, looking back now.

My whole life I always wanted to be an Aesthetician, and finally made the decision to achieve my dream. I attended Poway Academy and my passion sprung from there. I believe strongly in Post Graduate Education, and I never want to stop learning. I love to absorb information like a sponge, and I want to constantly learn all the new angles that I can. My goal in Aesthetics is to treat the whole person, providing elite, individualized education to better serve my clients needs. With each treatment I build in my own special essence as needed. Creating custom blends is a passion for me and is valuable to my clients. At Surface Esthetics, Michelle and I strive to give you the most unique facials skin treatment you've ever had, creating the change you wish to see in your skin.

My other passion resides in teaching women how to design their makeup regime to create their signature look. Though I am a self-taught artist and have been doing makeup my whole life, I chose to get my certification to further my education in the field. I was fortunate enough to train in Hollywood with one of the greatest masters, Dina Ousley. I believe there is nothing more flawless than airbrush makeup. I have many weddings under my belt and love doing event makeup.

There is nothing more rewarding than completing a treatment, and seeing instant improvement in the skin right before your eyes. When you place a final dab of powder on a bride's nose and her whole face lights up and glows, I know I have completed my mission to have her look and feel fantastic inside and out.
